The Trademark Licensing department works closely with the university community as well as approved licensees and retailers to identify unauthorized uses of official NC State trademarks. Commercial licensees are required to include the Collegiate Licensed Product label on each product on hang-tags, packaging, or the product itself to help identify their products as being licensed. The sale of officially licensed merchandise benefits students in that the royalties that the University receives from those sale are directed to go to scholarships. It also ensures the product is from a vendor who has agreed to be registered with the Fair Labor Association and agreed to the Code of Conduct.
