NC State
Trademark Licensing

The Trademark Licensing office works closely with the University community as well as approved licensees and retailers to identify unauthorized usage of official NC State trademarks. Commercial licensees are required to include the Collegiate Licensed Product label on each product on hangtags, packaging or the product itself to help identify their products as being licensed.

The sale of officially licensed merchandise benefits students since the royalties the University receives from those sales support scholarships.

Licensed vendors also agree to be registered with the Fair Labor Association and comply with the Labor Code of Conduct.

The University investigates all reports of possible infringement, misuse or improper use of the marks. If you are concerned about possible unauthorized use of the university trademarks, please report the information using the form below. Whether or not you provide your name, your identity will remain anonymous.
